Tesla’s Cybertruck is a reality: Elon Musk announced that the vehicle will go into production this summer, four years after its release. However, the tycoon asks for calm regarding the number of vehicles that will leave by then.
Musk broke the news during Tesla’s fourth quarter and full year 2022 earnings call, according to the portal Inside EVs.
“We expect production to start sometime this summer, but I always minimize the start of production because the start of production is always very slow,” said the magnate.
“I wouldn’t put too much stock at the start of production,” Musk stressed.
One of Tesla’s most anticipated projects, the Cybertruck was unveiled by Musk at a 2019 special event. But with the COVID-19 pandemic and general complications in refining the truck, everything was delayed.
What are the main features of the Tesla Cybertruck?
Franz von Holzhausen, Tesla’s chief vehicle designer, said in early January this year that the Cybertruck “It’s ready from a design perspective.”
The multifaceted design and components of the Cybertruck generated controversy during their presentation in 2019.
Back then, it was introduced as a van for six people, with a 17-inch central touch screen, a steering wheel rudder, and an expected range of between 400 and 800 kilometers on a single charge.
For many, the design was just plain ugly. Others questioned whether the truck’s range was that wide. It will be necessary to see what is the final result, if there was any change in the last months.
Initially the established price was between $39,900 and $69,900, varying by type from Cybertruck. Raised? It is another of the doubts that the Tesla product leaves.
