Elon Musk has admitted that Tesla’s autonomous driving still has room for improvement and requires retraining.
Tesla is a company that already has earned the name when talking about electric vehicles. Although it does not sell excessive cars compared to classic manufacturers, it is immediately associated with this type of transport. But they want to be at the forefront in innovation and functions like Autopilot are key.
Tesla’s autonomous driving has always been under debate and controversy regarding it is ongoing. It is investigating how it has reacted in several accidents that have occurred recently and long ago it was discovered that you can be deceived. Now, when it seems that it is very advanced, Elon Musk has commented that “not cool“.
Not only has he conveyed a certain lukewarmness with his opinion, he has also admitted in a tweet that needs to be retrained.
FSD Beta 9.2 is actually not great imo, but Autopilot / AI team is rallying to improve as fast as possible.
We’re trying to have a single stack for both highway & city streets, but it requires massive NN retraining.

This modesty is striking. More now, when days ago the event was held in which he spoke wonders of Tesla’s work in relation to AI and presented what will be the company’s first robot to help humans.
It is true that Tesla is making slow progress on the possibility of self-driving vehicles and it is a job that It must also be in accordance with the regulations of each region.. It always seems like it’s getting better, but it’s still not as functional as you’d like to make it work 100%.
It cannot be forgotten that this autonomous driving also is being developed in competing manufacturers. An example is Ford’s BlueCruise that implements a major difference, as reported in Futurism– Asks the driver to drive if he encounters a troublesome situation.
However, this debate draws attention with a function that is available in vehicles and that drivers pay and use in various situations, and not always recommended. The only clear thing is what Elon Musk himself admits: there is still a lot of work to do.
