The first months of life Battlefield 2042 they have been difficult. So much so that the saga has faced its most critical moment, with very few active players and with a change in the direction of the franchise included. In that sense, now Electronic Arts highlights Vince Zampella’s role in rebuilding Battlefield 2042. This was announced by the CEO of the North American company, Andrew Wilson, in a quarterly financial meeting with investors and analysts of the company (via Twinfinite), as well as offering some hints about the future of the war-like first-person shooter series on mobile devices.
According to the aforementioned medium, Wilson has referred to Zampella as a “amazing leader” which is rethinking the development process from the ground up. To do this, Zampella would be applying the “respawn method” (study from which it comes), which consists of “getting to the fun as soon as possible”. Wilson has also commented that he is aware that there is still a lot of work to do. Not only with Battlefield 2042, but with the future of the saga itself, which for a few months has been in the hands of Vince Zampella as head of the Battlefield license.
Battlefield 2042 plans to incorporate its own store with micropayments
The CEO of Electronic Arts did not want to close this meeting without referring to Battlefield Mobile, which will begin more intense tests later this month. Depending on the results obtained, the global launch of the game could be between the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023. What is clear is that Electronic Arts and DICE have wanted to get serious with the critical situation that has gone through the Battlefield saga after the premiere of 2042 and they are willing to change many things to make the franchise once again a benchmark for the genre.
