Elden Ring It arrived on PlayStation, Xbox and PC consoles on February 25 and since then we have been reporting the good reception that FromSoftware’s latest game has had. We already knew that Elden Ring had had a successful launch, but it has performed so well that it far exceeded Bandai Namco’s and FromSoftware’s expectations.
Through a statement, this week Bandai Namco announced that Elden Ring had managed to overcome the 12 million copies sold taking into account their sales until March 14, so they managed to reach this incredible amount in just over two weeks. Bandai Namco projections expected 4 million units sold by the end of March.

In just two weeks, Elden Ring managed to sell three times more than what Bandai Namco and FromSoftware had projected for its first month, so the great reception the game is having took them by surprise. However, the company does not intend to miss out on success and has already announced that it will continue to expand the license, even beyond video games.
To put into context the incredible success that Elden Ring is experiencing, consider that Dark Souls 3, which was FromSoftware’s most successful game, took four years to reach 12 million units sold. With these incredible sales, Elden Ring became the fastest-selling game to come from a Japanese publisher, excluding Nintendo.
