The fashion firm Ecoalf, which has shown that design and sustainability is possible, launches the sustainable furniture industry based on a circular economy hand in hand with Viccarbe and Recipur with the creation of the Savina modular sofa.
A sofa with a contemporary and versatile design to show off with pride in the living room because this piece adds a grain of sand to the problem of waste from the furniture market.
If we take a look at the figures, in the EU, more than 10.7 million tons of furniture waste each year, and 80-90% is incinerated or ends up in landfills.
In view of these data and based on recovery criteria, the company Recipur, a specialist in the development of recycled polyurethane (PUR) cores from out-of-use mattresses (CFU), is in charge of transform old mattresses into Ecopure recycled foam that give shape to the Savina sofa.
In addition to a sustainable interior and exterior, the Savina sofa is modular that allows you to create a wide variety of compositions to adapt to any space. you can choose different wooden seats, backrests, upholstery or armrestsoptional hidden wheels, integrated power outlets and accessories such as side tables or matching cushions.
The versatility of the sofa maximizes what it can offer a space or its users, while minimizing the need for additional furniture. In addition, high-quality materials, renowned craftsmanship and minimalist style with which the Savina sofa has been made, guarantee that each piece will last for many years. The two international firms, born in Spain, integrate proximity by creating a sofa 100% made in Spain. The wood for the sofa base and recycled foam from Spain, have been assembled in Beniparrell, 10 minutes from the center of Valencia where the Viccarbe headquarters are located. This allows have absolute traceability and have an even smaller impact.
