Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts, reportedly said at this meeting that FIFA had prevented them from implementing additional game modes beyond traditional 11v11, with the exception of VOLTA. Additionally, Wilson says that FIFA prevented the game from reaching “broader digital ecosystems”, which could refer to crossplay.
In its official statement, EA confirmed that all teams, players, stadiums and leagues will continue to be present in EA SPORTS FC, in addition to the fact that their new autonomy will allow them to “innovate, create and evolve” the platform.
