Therefore, according to figures released by the Mexican Association of Online Sales (AMVO), Mexico was the country with the highest growth in online sales for retail in the world during 2021with 27 percent, the same as India, and above Brazil, with 26.8 percent.
A study by Sponsorpulse highlighted that approximately 85 percent of consumers worldwide made a purchase online in 2020. Likewise, it was estimated that in 2022 the worldwide turnover of electronic commerce will exceed five thousand trillion euros and seven thousand trillion euros by 2025.

The investigation highlights that only in the Metropolitan Area of the capital, there are around 20 million people and, although not all of them drive, they do need transportation.
That is why Given the difficulties of traffic, transfers are prioritized for unavoidable situations, thus saving time, money and even stress is one of the reasons why consumers prefer e-commerce in countries like Mexico.
This is reflected in data from the Mexican Online Sales Association (AMVO), which indicates that 55 percent and 46 percent of digital consumers recognize as the main benefit of electronic commerce, receive their purchases at home and save time during the transfer to physical stores, respectively.
“There are people who invest almost five hours of their day in transfers. If we do the math, they spend six days in transit per month and 75 per year. We can save part of that expense with adequate logistics strategies for their purchases”, reveals the investigation.
In this sense, the specialist company indicates that digital business benefits the shopping experience, traffic management, and even the environment, which increasingly demands a behavior attached to reducing the use of fossil fuels.
All this because a single delivery route can take products from one logistics center to more than 30 addresses, avoiding a large number of individual journeys.
Recently, the city of Monterrey entered the Global Traffic Scorecard 2022 list, as one of the cities with the most traffic in the world, with a 66 percent increase in travel time over the last year.
