The return of Dragon Ball Daima has left the community surprised, especially since it has been years since anything was last heard from the anime. Although manga fans are happy, it is always satisfying to be able to enjoy a few hours in front of the television instead of following the story of Goku and Vegeta through the black and white pages.
There are many rumors about Dragon Ball Daima on social networks and it is no wonder, because it leaves many doubts about what will happen with the future seasons of Dragon Ball Super after the Tournament of Strength and if Daima is canonical and will replace the controversial Dragon Ball GT saga, which has not been discarded from the historical line of the anime created by Akira Toriyama.
One of those big doubts is about the meaning of “Daima”. The Distractify portal explains that the word does not seem to have any exact meaning in Japanese, at least not with the characters used to present the animated series. The immediate translation is “great or great” and “evil.”

“The name “Daima” (大魔) is not a real word in Japanese with the kanji they used.”Goresh explained on Twitter. “When translated literally, it means great or great evil.大 = large or large [y] 魔 = evil or demonic”.
The meaning, therefore, would be “the great evil”, the most logical thing for the action scenes that Dragon Ball promises. Distractify adds that the same characters are used to refer to the Demon King Piccolo. Will good Piccolo return as a villain?
Piccolo went through a transformation into Dragon Ball Z, because he became Gohan’s mentor after fighting, shoulder to shoulder, with Goku against Raditz. He is now a reliable piece of the Z Fighters and, even so, it could happen that Piccolo is a villain again like in the original Dragon Ball saga. If Piccolo returns to his child body, as shown in the images, why wouldn’t he be Goku’s enemy again? It is not known if the change in appearance will change the temperament of the Dragon Ball characters, but it does give an argument to believe that Piccolo would become a villain again.
Furthermore, although there is no clue as to how something like this would happen, currently in Dragon Ball everything is happening to justify the most incredible plots. From cosmic beings to magical artifacts, the writers can invent anything to get Piccolo back on the side of the villains.
