The mergers of Goten and Trunks are the best in Dragon Ball when we talk about this technique. The mistakes of this pair of small and powerful Saiyans make the series make fun filler content and do not abandon the spirit of martial arts in its development.
In Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero We saw it happen once again. While they faced Cell Max, Goten and Trunks already teenagersthey put their fingers wrong at the moment of the final movement and that overweight Gotenks that we had already seen in the Buu saga came out.
But there is another one, which we had only seen once and which now returns in manga mode illustrated by Toyotaro himself: the skinny, malnourished Gotenks who does not have the real power that the famous technique grants.
Skinny Gotenks is one of the two failed fusions of Goten and Trunks, the other being fat Gotenks, as we had already told you. He first appeared in the Dragon Ball Z anime, in episode 261, “The Failed Fusion.”
This character is the result of a mistake in the fusion dance. When Goten and Trunks try to fuse, his fingers cross, instead of touching the tip. This results in a failed fusion, which is a being with an unreal physical appearance and diminished strength.
In the case of Skinny Gotenks, his appearance is that of an extremely skinny child, with long, spiky lilac and black hair. His clothes are a combination of Goten and Trunks’ clothes, with a green vest and blue shorts.
The difference between this one that Toyotaro draws is that for the first time it appears made by the teenage versions of Goten and Trunks, who recently debuted in the Dragon Ball Super manga.
