US authorities filed criminal charges in a case related to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, in what are the first charges under a new anti-doping law, the Justice Department reported Wednesday.
Federal prosecutors charged a Texas therapist to distribute performance-enhancing drugs to two athletes “before and for the purpose of cheating” at the Tokyo Games that took place in the summer of 2021.
