TikTok is trying a new display modehorizontally and full screen, an option very similar to the one that already characterizes Youtube and that some selected users around the world have already been able to test.
ByteDance, the company that owns this service, has been integrating features from other platforms into its own for months. Among them, those related to the maximum duration of the videos that can be created and uploaded to the platform.
If in its beginnings it stood out for integrating videos in vertical format of short durationfrom 15 seconds maximum, over time it expanded to three minutes and, currently, it is possible to share content with a duration of up to 10 minutes.
Thanks to this extension of the maximum duration, which has benefited content such as tutorials or recipes, users have the possibility to “unleash their creative possibilities even more”, in statements collected at the beginning of last March by TechCrunch.
Now, this same medium has announced that TikTok is testing a new display format, which would allow content to be viewed in full screen and landscape; essential feature of another platform dedicated to videos, Youtube.
This functionality is only available to some users, since it is in the first stage of testing. In this way, those who already have this option available will be able to find a new full screen button in all the videos in their ‘feed’.
