The Little Mermaid presents the first trailer for her live-action movie.
Disney continues unstoppable when it comes to resurrecting its classics through live action movies. After Aladdin or The Lion King, the company plans to release The little Mermaid in May 2023so now it has released the first teaser trailer for the film to reveal the appearance of the aquatic world and, of course, that of Ariel.
The annual event of the house of the mouse, the D23, has been the perfect moment to show the first images of The Little Mermaid, which has confirmed in less than a minute and a half the amazing technical section that the film directed by Rob Marshall will havefamiliar with Disney after directing Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, the musical Into the Woods or Mary Poppins Returns.
As with The Lion King, The Little Mermaid surprises by recreating the amazing world of the animated classic in real life. Likewise, it is confirmed that the actress Halle Baileyknown for her role in the comedy series Grown-ish, will play Ariel who will once again sing Part of Him, a classic song that will once again play in theaters.
What to expect from The Little Mermaid
In the live-action film of The Little Mermaid we will also see Jonah Hauer King in the role of Prince Eric, Javier Bardem will become King Triton, and Melissa McCarthy will introduce us to the evil Úrsula of flesh and blood. We will also see Jude Akuwudike as Grimsby, Kajsa Mohammar as Karina and Lorena Andrea as Perla Daveed Diggs. Daveed Diggs will voice Sebastian and Jacob Tremblay will voice Flounder.
The Little Mermaid of 2023 will submerge us under the sea again, where Ariel, a restless mermaid princess, wants to be part of the human world. With the help of her friends Flounder and Sebastian, Ariel will need her courage and determination to make her dreams come true.
