Lilith Games studio (AFK Arena and Rise of Kingdoms: Lost Crusade) has a new game for mobile devices. Dislyte is a turn-based RPG that we have already been testing with the Moto G60s.
mythological future
It is the year 2027 (just around the corner) and the world was invaded by portals where a series of monsters arrive to destroy everything. But this irruption is accompanied by a magical force that brings all the divinities of Egyptian, Greek or Nordic cultures to earth. These beings take control of some humans and turn them into espers, with special abilities.
Dislyte It invites us to follow a story mode made up of a group of allied characters who go through various areas controlled by these monsters and other espers.
The game gives us the option to see the vignettes and cinematics of these characters; but if we want to go directly to the battles there is a way that skips everything and summarizes the story in a small text; to follow the thread.
Form the team of your dreams
Dislyte is a classic turn-based RPG game that, in order not to fall into repetition, has a lot of content and options for both first-time players and the most experienced of the genre.
To unlock all modes you have to start with the story and raise the levels of both our user and the espers. Each map has several scenarios that face us with other groups of monsters in 5vs5 battles (or sometimes less but with more powerful enemies).
Each esper has 3 types of attack or defense skills. Like in other turn based RPG games; if we use one we will have to wait a while to do the same action again.
As I mentioned before there are several characters for the taste of each one; with stronger attacks, from far or close or defense and support. Knowing when to use one or the other is what determines the victory of each battle.
The game gives us a base amount of espers; they want more?. Lilith Games puts us a kind of gacha in the form of turntables where for gems we are going to get more characters. These can be from a level 3 normal and common up to a level 5 and legendary. In my personal experience playing just a few days I was able to get a legendary esper; which makes quite a difference; no need to put down real money to buy one.
Also for battles our espers have room for items that improve their strength, speed or endurance. These items can also be leveled up for gold and you are going to spend quite a bit of time on this section.
Dislyte It has a test mode where we can access “miracles” or portals with random confrontations that give us prizes that we can use in all modes.
Also the Arena mode (which is unlocked when we reach Level 18) and matches us against other players in online fights.
Finally, as this future is quite musical; the electro-pop rhythm is also a way for us to unlock songs like Rock Band or Guitar Hero; where we will have to play each tone to win.
Simplicity, color and style
I have to confess that many times I have a weakness for games with vertical perspective on mobile phones; especially when they can be operated with one hand. This simplicity is found in Dislyte. With the Moto G60s and its large screen size allowed me to have a great appreciation of everything that happens on stage, both the characteristics of my heroes as well as the villains.
Along with the colorful scenes and cinematics; each esper has detailed animations in the main menu.
And as I mentioned in the previous section, music is a great component and luckily it doesn’t feel repetitive.
Also each character has some dialogues in special attacks or when we win a battle.
