Surely the years will pass and more and more secrets about Elden Ring will continue to be discovered. The fervor over the game from FromSoftware continues and thanks to that we have games as impossible as finishing the title in less than nine minutes. A bestiality.
Now, it is the turn of the network test at the end of 2021. Yes, that beta that allowed us to take our first steps through Necrolimbo. User Lance McDonald, a modder specialized in Soulsborne, has discovered a removed mechanic that allowed us to collect the dreams of sleeping enemies. Here’s the demo.
After activating the necessary files, in the trial version we could find several enemies like wolves or bears that were sleeping. Unlike what happens with the final version of Elden Ringthey don’t wake up unless attacked and show a light on their heads.
The idea is that we reach the cabin that is near Stormshroud Castle and there we will meet Rhico, an NPC that is currently unavailable. He will tell us that he is able to create a concoction if we gather the dreams of the different creatures. Thanks to an item called St. Trina’s Crystal Ball, we will be able to get our hands on dreams.
Once you get enough of them, Rhico will transform them into a potion that, if you give it to another NPC, will reveal their secrets to us. In the case of Lance’s test, we see how a merchant suffers from nightmares after drinking the juice.
A pity that this mechanic is no longer available in Elden Ring. There is a lot of content that seems to have been cut, as is the case with the huge coliseums that we can find in the Middle Lands.
