According to Correos de México, cyber fraudsters have sent different emails to customers, informing them about a supposed problem with their package. For this to be solved, indicate in the message, they ask for certain information or even a deposit.
The email subject may contain phrases similar to ‘Your order could not be delivered‘ either ‘There is a problem with your package‘. In this case, those affected are recommended to verify the sender and if their account is real.
As a second piece of advice, Correos de México asks its customers to check the status of their shipment or track it using its guide number to avoid falling for deception. Finally, remember that the service does not ask for extra money to expedite the delivery of the package.
If even with all these verification recommendations you have any questions, you can contact the service at number 800 701 7000 or through the official social networks of Correos de México.
