Currently on social networks, the presence of health professionals who share data, information and in some cases deny fake news is increasing, we can attribute this growth of Mexican doctors on sites like TikTok to the covid 19 pandemic.
TikTok (Douyin in its original Chinese name), is a social network where people can create, edit and share content in short video format of a maximum of 10 minutes, with background music, audio or voiceover recording of the content creator.
The growth of the TikTok network is attributed to it thanks to the confinement that was carried out in the beginning due to the global pandemic of Covid-19. In Mexican territory, it was a way to entertain the population and get away from the alarming news that there was daily regarding the confinement that was experienced.
Some of the content that grew as an option to consume on the Chinese network were those created by Mexican doctors who provided information about the pandemic and medical issues in general.
