In 1985 the last season of Super Friends premiered the episode The Fear, which was originally contemplated as a spin-off for an animated series of Batman.

Although The Fear was one of the most acclaimed episodes of the last season of Super Friends, this chapter was originally intended as a pilot for an animated series of Batman under the production of Hanna Barbera.
CBR contributor Brian Cronin noted that this episode was presented in pre-production to Hanna Barbera executives, but they were not interested in making a solo animated series of DC Comics characters.
Alan Burnet, writer of the episode The Fear, took material from this failed pilot to incorporate it into the episode of The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians. The brief dialogue that Wonder Woman says was originally said by Vicky Vale.
Six years later, in 1992, Alan Burnet joined the writing team for Batman: The Animated Series. This proposal is considered the best animated series of DC Comics and one of the most acclaimed shows of all time.
