There is no doubt that the release of Battlefield 2042 has not satisfied the community. Criticism invaded the title file on Steam and promises from DICE to improve the experience have been continuous. However, the latest stumble with the zombie mode has not finished correcting the course.
Now, through a post on her blog, the developer has revealed her future plans with Battlefield 2042. The most important decision is delay the arrival of the first season until “early summer”. The exact launch date has not been indicated, but they justify from DICE that this time will allow them to “polish the development of our content for the seasons to ensure that they all reach our quality standard.”
Once again, the work team wanted to reiterate the commitment and investment in the future with Battlefield 2042. For this reason, many of the changes that are planned have been announced, several of them being highly requested by the community for months.
First there will be a updated classification, showing two separate tables that differentiate between your own team and the enemy, as well as the score between eliminations and kills. Next we have the voice communication on all platforms, essential to strategize with allies. Finally will come the player profile which will present a statistical journey of the user and how much is left for the next unlock. All of this will land in a future update.
On the other hand, the marking system will be refined, as well as the patrol reward loops and the gameplay of the weapons themselves. Portal will be progressively expanding, with modes and adjusting experience gain, but DICE reserves the juiciest details for later.

Once again DICE has influenced this aspect by promising that through the Battlefield website they will open specific areas to discuss improving Battlefield 2042. A process that begins with the design of the maps, making exchanges of suggestions from the public and explanations of the study on what they can do and why they do it, will begin at the end of this month.
Finally, the first season will be the starting signal for four new seasons, four new specialists and new locations with more content. They recognize that it’s a big delaynot only for the game itself, but for those who have already purchased the year 1 pass with the Gold and Ultimate editions.
In compensation, these players will receive an exclusive bundle containing a Specialist Skin, Weapon Skin, Vehicle Skin, Melee Weapon, and Game Token, which will be delivered in a future update. If you’re one of the lucky ones, here’s a sneak peek at what’s to come.
