Diablo Immortal has been surrounded by controversy since its very announcement, several years ago. The community did not take very well that Blizzard wanted to release a free to play mobile game to continue earning easy money, instead of giving them the long-awaited Diablo IV. Now that it is already available on iOS and Android, it turns out that it is a good representation of the series in terms of its Action RPG section, but it is also an extreme case of “Pay to Progress” and “Pay to Win” that the community has not overlooked. And despite all this, it is being an economic success.
According to the data of AppmagicDiablo Immortal already has more than 8 million downloads and has generated around $24 million to Blizzard. On mobile, it only pays about 1% or 2% of the players, but considering that in Diablo Immortal it takes more than 100,000 dollars to improve the character to the maximum, the accounts add up. It is also available on PC.
USA represents almost half of the source of income Diablo Immortal at 43%, compared to 23% for South Korea, 8% for Japan, and 6% for Germany. What does not correspond to the download data, since the US accumulates only 26% of all downloadsfollowed by South Korea, Brazil and Japan, which respectively add 11%, 8% and another 8% of downloads.
As for the difference between platforms, the thing is quite even between iOS and Android with 13 million dollars and 11.3 million dollars respectively. There is no concrete data about the PC version.
What’s New in Diablo IV

It will arrive in 2023 on Xbox, PlayStation and PC consolesand during the last Xbox and Bethesda event he shared a lot of news and new images of his RPG action proposal that returns to the roots of the seriesbut with a new open world, crossplay, and an entire redesigned progression system.
