While working as an Instacart delivery person, she received a request to deliver a food order to an elderly man who was homebound. Jessica shared that after arriving somewhere, she has to leave the order and take a picture of it, because the delivery men are prohibited from entering the houses, but something in her told her that she could not just leave.
So she waited for the man to come to the door and helped him with his purchases because she was convinced that something was wrong and that the man seemed a little sick.
Although she broke the first rule and could be fired, Jessica entered the house and noticed that there was a propane tank that was giving off a large amount of gas due to a leak, even she felt dizzy herself, so she felt that he had to call the man’s daughter, who had placed the order, to tell her how her father was.
In gratitude, the woman exchanged the $14 tip for $100 and left a thank you comment saying that after a checkup, Jessica had noticed the leak and had saved the lives of her father and youngest son.
