The FPS Boost technology in the Xbox Series X | S allows backward compatible games to take advantage of the new capabilities of the Xbox Series X | S and reach frame rates impossible in the previous cycle. This is the case of games like Skirynm, Fallout 4 or Battlefield V, among many others, which now have to be added to Dark Souls 3.
After leaking at first, the official Xbox account on Twitter announced that Dark Souls 3 now has FPS Boost on Xbox Series X | S, what allows you to run at 60 fps. A huge improvement to the game from FromSoftware, which could not even stay stable at 30fps on the previous generation of consoles.

Jason Ronald, Head of Engineering at Xbox, assured that for Dark Souls have used a new unpublished technology so far, we will see if the rest of the games in the series or Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, the latest game from FromSoftware, will soon be compatible with FPS Boost.
