Now that Cyberpunk 2077 is in a “satisfactory” state for the CD Projekt RED team, it seems that the next goal for the Poles is to start releasing the additional content that has been promised since the game’s launch at the end of last year. According to a leak, they would have 15+ free DLCs and expansions, similarly to what they did back in the day with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
A recent leak posted via Reddit would have discovered 17 free DLCs coming soon to Cyberpunk 2077. At the moment there are still no details of what each one could be about, but if we remember the case of The Witcher 3, this type of free content introduced, new sets of armor and skins for different characters, as well as new missions.
Although they are not entirely enlightening, the names of the leaked files corresponding to each one of the free DLCs suggest what some of them might be about: dlc1_swp, dlc2_jposes, dlc3_kab01, dlc4_quartz, dlc5_jackets, dlc6_apart, dlcmir7_pw8pwp, dlcmir7_pw8pwp, dlcmir7_pw8pwp dlc9_arr06, dlc10_monster, dlc11_jlook, dlc12_mfinish, dlc13_twp, dlc14_arr12, dlc15_ngplus, dlc16_jpn06, dlc17_bwp
As for larger expansions, DLC confirmed by CD Projekt Red in their roadmap, the first of them would expand the Pacifica district and add a «new combat zone, with new missions and locations»As part of a long new subplot. According to that leak, it would not go as far as early 2022. Of the second still not enough information.
Apart from these additional content, CD Projekt RED is also planning this year to launch the improved version of Cyberpunk 2077 for next-gen consoles. The version that can be enjoyed today on Xbox Series X | S and PS5, is the backward compatible version of Xbox One and PS4, where it became the best-selling game on the PSN during the month of June.
