It’s official, in a streaming that took place a few hours ago, CD Projekt RED has presented the expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, which has been called phantom liberty. In the short trailer that we have been able to see, this promising content addition will focus on the most political and mysterious aspects of this futuristic universe, however, despite the good looks of this expansion, not everything is good news, and is that, as confirmed by the company, users of old-generation consoles will not be able to enjoy it.
Cyberpunk 2077 expansion won’t come to Xbox One or PS4, and what’s more, there will be no future patches or content additions beyond patch 1.6 that was released today. This news is a jug of cold water for fans of the title who do not own new generation consoles, who have not only had to deal with significant performance problems since its launch, but are now left in the lurch while the rest of players will be able to enjoy new additions.

It seems that the problems with developing on the old consoles have reached the point where the Polish company does not believe that it is profitable to continue efforts on them, which is a real shame. Although there is no specific date yet, Phantom Liberty, the first (and presumably only) expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 will be released early next year.
