Cyberpunk 2077 celebrates a month full of players thanks to its updates and anime released on Netflix.
Cyberpunk 2077 has settled into a second best life. The premiere of the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners on the streaming platform, the release of version 1.6 of the game and the announcement of the Phantom Liberty expansion has caused numerous players to once again give the title a chance that many players have also reached for the first time. Thus, CD Projekt RED now celebrates that the game accumulates four consecutive weeks with a million daily players.
The developer has been in charge of breaking the news on social networks, delighted to see that Night City is being more visited than ever before, a month having passed without the active users of Cyberpunk 2077 falling below a million players.
1 million active players each day for four weeks in a row – Night City sure is thriving!

After the correction of numerous bugs and, despite the fact that the game has not ended up being what many thought, the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners seems to have been the main driver of the game, since the recreation of content from the series is being the reason for amusement of numerous players who have ventured to visit Night City.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, a single season anime
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is the anime based on the video game, counting 10 episodes made by CDPR and Studio Trigger. The series tells the story of a boy who lives on the streets of a futuristic city obsessed with technology and body modification. With everything against him, chooses to make a living by becoming an ‘edgerunner’an outlaw mercenary also known as ‘cyberpunk’.
However, despite the success of the anime, Satoru Honma, director of CD Projekt RED in Japan, has stated that Edgerunners was conceived as an independent work without a continuation, so if you work on new series it will be with new stories far from a second season. Will these help get more players into Night City?
