Today we are going to focus on another curious product with which it sure has not occurred to you to clean: ketchup.
Almost all recipes for this product include vinegar, and the acetic acid in this ingredient works as an effective mild cleanser to remove different types of dirt. In addition, the tomato also has a small amount of citric acid, which also helps to clean.
One of the most useful uses for ketchup in cleaning is to help remove dirt stuck to the bottom of pots and pans. Cover the bottom with tomato sauce and let it act overnight for the acids in ketchup to do their job. The next morning, scrub with a sponge and rinse.
Another trick to cleaning with ketchup that you are interested in knowing is that it works very well to treat metals. It can polish stainless steel, silver, polished brass, and copper. You just have to apply it, let it work for a few minutes and then rinse and dry well with a soft cloth.
Also effective in removing rust on utensils, outdoor furniture, tools and other metal objects. Put a thick layer of ketchup on the surface you want to treat, let it sit for 30 minutes, then rinse and dry well with a cloth.
This product is also interesting to eliminate strong odors. For example, if your fridge has an unpleasant smell, you can remove it by inserting an open container with a little ketchup.
