The new CUPRA Born incorporates into its range the long-awaited e-Boost versions that offer superior performance. CUPRA is already accepting orders for the new Born e-Boost with a 58 kWh battery. A model that develops a peak power of 170 kW and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 7 seconds.
CUPRA has introduced important novelties in the range of its first electric car. The CUPRA Born is making its debut. And it is that they have finally arrived in Spain e-Boost versions. The new Born e-Boost stands out for offering superior performance and features in relation to the only engine that had been available to date in the brand’s configurator.
The new Born, considered a more luxurious alternative to the Volkswagen ID.3, is getting some really interesting sales figures. These new versions are expected to give a greater boost to the registrations that the electric model has been reaping. The CUPRA Born e-Boost already has prices and is ready to launch its assault on dealerships.
The range and equipment of the new CUPRA Born e-Boost
CUPRA has structured the range of e-Boost versions in two trim levels. There is the model with standard equipment and, one step above, is the Launch Edition version that offers a plus of exclusivity. We then review the highlights of standard equipment of the new Born e-Boost:

The autonomy of the new CUPRA Born e-Boost
CUPRA’s first electric car is equipped with a 58 kWh lithium-ion battery
(net capacity) whose main objective is to power a single electric motor of 150 kW (204 hp) and 310 Nm of maximum torque. The e-Boost package has direct effects on the Born’s propulsion system. And it is that it allows to increase the peak power up to 170 kW (231 hp) and 310 Nm respectively.
The benefits of the Born e-Boost are very interesting. It is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.6 seconds. The sprint from 0 to 50 km/h, crucial in urban environments, is completed in 2.6 seconds. The autonomy reaches 420 kilometers
according to the WLTP cycle. Through the driving mode selector you can choose between Range, Comfort, Performance and Individual profiles. To them must be added the exclusive CUPRA mode for the e-Boost version.
Regarding the loading times, vary depending on the electrical outlet used. The 58 kWh battery can be charged to 80% in just 6 hours and 15 minutes using the Mode 3 cable at 11 kW of power. The recharging process from 5% to 80% is completed in just 35 minutes with a 120 kW charging point.

It is important to point out that the new Born can benefit from the aid of the MOVES III Plan (with scrapping of used vehicles) as well as the base discount of €1,210 offered by the brand itself. Despite this novelty, the Born range is still incomplete. The e-Boost pack with the 77 kWh capacity battery will also be available soon.
