After more than five years of waiting, we can finally enjoy The Delicious Last Courseexpansion of the fantastic Cuphead that came with the enormous promise of making the world of the cuphead grow in all directions. For this reason and after having completed it, we have decided to make a list in which we review the Five most challenging bosses in this entire game. Yes, those who really challenged not only our control skills, but also our patience and ability to understand what exactly we had to do to overcome them and of course, reach the very pleasant KNOCKOUT! Of course, we wait for you to leave us your own list of the ones that have cost you the most work.
5.- Rumor Honeybottoms
Facing a bee can be very intimidating, not to mention coming face to face with an entire honeycomb commanded by the queen herself who will do everything possible to kill us. Undoubtedly, Rumor Honeybottoms was one of the most complicated moments in Cuphead, because one thing is to dodge enemy attacks on firm ground, and another is to do it while we go up vertically jumping on different platforms. Reflexes, ability to adapt and of course, a lot, but a lot of patience, made this level one of the ones that cost us the most work in the Studio MDHR game.
4.- Dr. Kahl’s Robot
We dare to say that Dr. Kahl’s Robot is the most challenging shoot ’em up level in all of Cuphead. The matchup against this giant mecha is special for a lot of reasons. The first and most important is that it comes at a time when you are full of confidence and mistakenly believe that you have mastered these bosses that you are facing on board your little plane. What a surprise you get when you begin to see the different attacks of the enemy, which present patterns that are extremely difficult to recognize and therefore, to master. We all remember with special affection when after many consecutive attempts, the KNOCKOUT sign finally appeared! to tell us that victory was in our hands.
3. Grim Matchstick
Throughout the entire adventure that Cuphead represents, there were times where we definitely swore we couldn’t get through. The challenge in front of us was so great that we almost threw in the towel. Without a doubt, one of those moments was when we had to measure ourselves against Grim Matchstick, that green dragon that tore us to pieces endless times until, after much practice, we understood how to attack it. His jumping flames were only compared to his brutal last phase that just remembering it, continues to give us goosebumps. At this specific point, it became clear to us that we were looking at a game that would not be easy to complete.
2.- The Devil
moment of truth After having overcome endless bosses, run & gun levels and other challenges including the infamous King Dice, it was time to see ourselves face to face with the same demon, with the prince of darkness who had been in charge of stealing the souls of Cuphead and Mugman to get them into all this mess. Just as we have expected since we started the game, the duel to the death with The Devil was one to remember for the brutal way he treated us, throwing everything at us to finish us off and of course, testing if everything we had learned in the last few hours, it was good for something. Needless to say, the attempts were multiple but when it finally fell, we couldn’t help but feel a great joy knowing that we had completed the game.
1.- King Says
Having overcome everything Cuphead had thrown at us, we were more than ready to bring the adventure to an end. What we didn’t count on was the fact that before we came face to face with The Devil, we would have to play a small game with King Dice, one that would feature multiple bosses at the same time. This game involved being very precise to roll the dice and thus be able to reach the end of the challenge, the thing is that if we failed a little, we could return to square number one. To top it all off, just when you thought you had emerged victorious, you were put into a direct confrontation with the lord of the dice himself, one that, needless to say, was brutally difficult.
