In January of this year crytek announced that Crysis 4 was in the early stages of development, and since then we have had no news about this production. However, this week Crytek announced that Mattias Engström, director of Hitman 3is the new creative director of crisis 4.
Mattias Engström was the director of Hitman 3 for IO Interactive, where he worked for almost 8 years before becoming the director of Crysis 4 for Crytek. However, prior to working on IO, Engström worked for a decade at Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment, bringing him nearly 20 years of experience in the industry.

It’s clear that Crytek had been preparing for the release of Crysis 4 for some time, as in October of last year they released the Crysis Remastered Trilogy on Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PlayStation and PC, offering three modernized campaigns on all current platforms.
In my review of the Crysis Remastered Trilogy I said that the Nanosuit still had a lot of potential, but Crysis 4 was yet to be announced back then. , it only remains to hope that Crytek manages to find the formula to make the next installment a memorable experience.
