It is well known that during the development of video games many things have to be cut, whether due to time, budget or design, so it is always interesting to learn about these things. This week an enemy of Halo: Infinity that we were going to meet during the campaign, but that was discarded by 343 Industries.
Yesterday the user Gamecheat13 or cheato shared a leak of Halo: Infinite that shows an enemy of the campaign that did not reach the final version of the game, which is named crusher. A few hours after the video was posted, Halo insider Mr_Rebs shared information he received from a trusted source, such as the name of the creature and the reason it was discarded.

According to the source of rebsThe Crusher is the creature that walks past the tent in the Halo: Infinite teaser that 343 Industries released in 2018, but was scrapped since they couldn’t make fighting it fun. Still, a cave can still be found on the Halo: Infinite map where we would have supposedly found it.
The cave the Crusher was in was not removed from the game and can be found with some dead marines inside. According to Rebs’ source, the plan was for us to follow a trail of corpses in the open world until we came across the home of the Crusher.
Rebs also shared a concept art image of the Crusher where we can clearly see what 343 Industries was looking for in this dangerous foe. A few hours ago Rebs shared a 3D model of the enemy that shows how huge he was, as he is almost twice the size of a brute and looks considerably larger than the Master Chief.
In July it was reported that 343 Industries cut about 66% of Halo: Infinite’s campaign, so surely the Crusher wasn’t the only enemy that didn’t make it into the final game. It’s unknown if 343 Industries plans to release expansions for Halo: Infinite’s campaign, but if they do, that could be an opportunity to bring back the Crusher.
