Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII celebrates its 15th anniversary by announcing the release date of its remake.
In addition to announcing Octopath Traveler II for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and PC, Square Enix was also present at this afternoon’s Nintendo Direct to set a release date for Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunioncoming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, via Steam, next December 13, 2022.
Remastering of Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII -, a 2007 PSP exclusive action role-playing game that worked as a prequel, Reunion will bring us the original story of the soldier zack on his quest to locate a Private First Class named Genesis Rhapsodos who has gone missing. However, the mission leads him to discover the hidden face of Shinra’s shady experiments and the monsters they have created.
Curiously, Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII – turns 15 today, so the news of the release date of its remake is quite a way to celebrate the anniversary. Likewise, its director Tetsuya Nomura wanted to sign up for the party revealing the art that will accompany the cover of the game which starts the countdown to its launch: there are exactly 3 months left.

Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion, which also features the appearance of Cloud, Sefirot, Aeris and other characters from the Final Fantasy VII saga, features a redesign and expansion of one of the most innovative RPGs of its time, offering an experience of totally independent game. It will be necessary to see if its success is equal to the remake of the first title of the saga.
