Quickly the Facebook of the Profeco began to receive comments such as: “It’s risk or recommendation”, “What a bad choice of words”, “Images that can be easily misinterpreted”, among others.
These are the tips who shared the prophecy through their social networks to buy and preserve onions:
- Choose those that are hard, firm and tight.
- Store them in a dry, ventilated and preferably shaded place.
- They should not be wet or have marks or spots on the shell.
- To lessen its smell and strong taste; slice it, soak it in warm water and let it rest before using it.
The albur is part of the popular Mexican language, a play on words in a double meaning that most Mexicans handle perfectly.
On the other hand, Profeco recently assured that the increase in food and beverages registered by the National Consumer Price Index (INPC) will not impact the basic basket. While the head of the Federal Consumer Attorney, Ricardo Sheffield, revealed which are the supermarkets where you can buy the cheapest basic basket products, being Chedraui the main ally of consumers in Puebla, Aguascalientes, Tampico and Tamaulipas.
The price increase in basic food products is causing changes in the consumption habits of Mexican families. And it is that fresh fruits and vegetables are the ones that have presented the most increases, such as onions, which have increased in price, as well as potatoes, chicken and tortillas.
