The villain of Kingdom Come, Magog, will be canon to the Arrowverse thanks to the comics, which makes it possible for him to arrive on television in a crossover.
Kingdom Come’s futuristic supervillain Magog will soon be part of the Arrowverse canon due to the miniseries expanding this TV universe. That opens up a possibility to see him debut on The CW shows. Though it remains to be seen, should it be adapted, if Kingdom Como’s story will merit a live version.
DC Earth-Prime is a comic book miniseries set in the continuity of the Arrowverse. Its publication in Mexico has not been contemplated. In its pages, each issue focuses on one of the CW’s current series. In their publication order, these are the references: Earth-Prime #1: Batwoman, Earth-Prime #2: Superman & Lois; Earth-Prime #3: Legends of Tomorrow; Earth-Prime #4: Stargirl; Earth Prime #5: The Flash; and, finally, a crossover issue Earth-Prime #6: Hero’s Twilight, where we see Magog as a villain.
Kingdom Come, the most famous of the Elseworlds
Magog debuted in the influential 1996 Kingdom Come limited series, by Mark Waid and Alex Ross. Set in an alternate future, the story sees DC heroes aging in a world where newer vigilantes have forgotten the morals of their predecessors and employ violent and dubious methods. Their leader was the anti-hero Magog, who is also the catalyst for the original heroes’ efforts to put an end to their extreme methods.
In Newsarama we read that “DC and Warner Bros. Television have made it clear that the story is situated in the canon of the television series, the specials are written by the creators involved in the series, and approved by the producers of the television series. from the CW. While they haven’t given any indication that the comic series will be anything more than a fun print adventure for fans of the shows, by placing it in canon, the timing of the series, and the fact that Kingdom Come would logically fit into a live-action crossover of the Arrowverse, you have to ask yourself the question.
The Arrowverse/Earth-Prime Magog has different motivations, believing that “all superheroes do is bring pain and destruction wherever they go, they don’t solve problems and they don’t bring peace to the world. As such, he and some allied supervillains plan to free humanity from its dependence on superheroes by bringing them to their knees, thereby helping society reach its true potential.”
Will we see Magog on TV?
It’s possible. Remember that the last five Arrowverse mega-events have featured loose adaptations of some of DC Comics’ most important story arcs. We are talking about Invasion, Crisis on Earth-X, Elseworlds, Crisis on Infinite Earths and Armageddon. In even solo, in The Flash we saw a version of Flashpoint.
Also, within Crisis on Infinite Earths we saw Brandon Routh reprise his role as Superman, but in a larger version, inspired by that of Kingdom Come. And if there is already a glimpse of the alternate world of Kingdom Come and the main villain of the series is already present, what other opportunity could the Arrowverse ask for to announce a big crossover?
