an amazing cosplay has been created by the beautiful Eli, also known as @assuka66 on Instagram. In the series, Marine is a young girl who dreams of cosplaying all of her favorite anime and video game characters, so she would probably be flattered if someone cosplayed her. Although Marin wears a wide variety of outfits throughout My Dress Up Darling, Eli has played her in her usual school uniform.
If you go to Eli’s Instagram you can see cosplays from other anime and manga series. Besides of cosplay from Marin Kitagawa from My Dress Up Darling you’ll find his version of Suma, one of the three wives of the Pillar of Sound, Tengen Uzui from Demon Slayer, and Mikasa Ackerman from Attack on Titan.
My Dress Up Darling tells the story of Wakana Gojo, a shy high school student who has dedicated his life to creating clothes for Hina figures, which are traditional Japanese ornamental dolls that are often used as part of celebrations around certain holidays. Due to a past rejection, Gojo is terrified that his peers will find out what his hobby is, at least until he meets Marin Kitagawa, a popular girl who has no qualms about sharing her obsessive love of video games, anime, and manga. The two become involved after pushy Marin pushes the dubious Gojo into helping her create her first cosplay.
The series was originally created by writer and artist Shinichi Fukuda. The manga premiered in Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine in 2018. An anime series based on Fukuda’s work premiered on January 9 and was produced by CloverWorks, the animation studio behind Wonder Egg Priority and the controversial adaptation. animated from The Promised Neverland.
The anime has been directed by Keisuke Shinohara, who previously worked on Little Witch Academia and Devilman Crybaby. The series stars Shoya Ishige as Gojo and Hina Suguta as Marine. The series has already become one of the most popular anime of the winter 2022 season, and has been praised for its comedy and the characters’ rejection of social expectations, but has also received some criticism for the abundant fan- service of the series.
