The Spanish firm Cosentino will open two showrooms located in Mexico City and Monterrey to exhibit all its new surfaces for architectural projects and interior design. The opening of the new city in the country’s capital is projected for February 2024, with an approximate investment of 1.2 million dollars, while in the northern sultana, the showcase of its product catalog could also be next year with an approximate investment of one million dollars.
“Mexico is one of the Group’s greatest strategic priorities due to its size, culture, orientation and security for doing business. It is the most important country in Latin America for Cosentino,” says José Ignacio Sahuquillo, director for Latin America of Cosentino, who trusts that the company will continue to grow locally year after year, being able to contribute a grain of sand to any construction plan. In this market alone, Cosentino’s sales are estimated at 10 million dollars.
The Hispanic company will open these new spaces in the Mexican Republic with the intention of creating alliances with the entire design community, its culture having one of the best architectural stories in the world, highlights Sahuquillo. “We consider it a great time to increase our presence and be part of the future of Mexico. The City of Mexico City, for example, will provide a unique experience where architects, designers and end clients will find the ideal solution for all their works.”
The space to show their products to the public in the country’s capital will have a size of 280 square meters and will be located at 195 Emilio Castelar Street in Polanco. and the second will be installed in the municipality in San Pedro Garza García in Nuevo León. At these exhibition points Consentino will exhibit its physical and digital finishing plates, in addition to more atelier Lab where your products can be combined with other materials such as fabrics, wood and metals, among others.
Also in the exhibition centers there will be all its applications such as a functional kitchen where events will be held, they will have bathrooms, facades, furniture and many other products to visualize the dream space.
It should be said that In 2023, Cosentino has invested more than 15 million dollars in the opening of other cities in the world in destinations such as Vancouver, Seattle, Boston, Antwerp, Lisbon, Istanbul, Sau Paulo and Melbourne, Oceania. This will complete its commercial strategy of having 31 cities around the world, while the Group’s intention in the medium term will be to open, on average, 20 cities per year.
The Spanish firm that emerged in 1979 with a global presence sells its surfaces in more than 110 countries, in which in 2022 it had a turnover of two billion dollars.
The executive commented in an interview with ALTO NIVEL that Consentino makes important investments in caring for the environment, among which the largest photovoltaic park for private consumption in all of Europe stands out with 35 megawatts installed. Likewise, 100% of the water used in its manufacturing process is completely reused. “All our collections have zero carbon footprint emissions.”
The corporate has its production center in Almería, Spain, and a few months ago it announced that it will open its first factory outside of Spain in JacksonvilleFlorida, for its Silestone and Dekton lines, with an approximate investment of 250 million dollars.
