At the moment, God of War Ragnarok is PlayStation’s last trick for the remainder of 2022, but this sequel still does not have a release date and It has only been shown in a gameplay trailer.. It seems that we will still have to wait a little longer to see it in motion again and know when it will arrive in stores, but Cory Barlog wanted to reassure the gaming community behind a video where they confirm that the development is going well and they are willing to show the game, but they are not ready yet for it.
“4 years ago, God of War (2018) was released! We’re grateful to everyone who joined Kratos and Atreus on their journey, and we’re so proud of the team that worked to bring him to life,” the studio comments. “While we’re not quite ready to share an update on what’s coming next, Here’s a quick message from Cory!”

“It is your support that allows us to continue doing the things we love to do,” says Barlog through a video shared on Twitter by the Santa Monica Studio account. As for God of War Ragnarok, many feared the worst, but he simply assures that for now no important news to share. The team wants to do something really special with this sequel, so they won’t show it until they’re sure it’s the best version possible. “We are perfectionists. Everyone is adjusting the graphics on level three, there is so much going on right now that I just wish I could share with you, but just not ready to show”.
Upcoming PlayStation games for 2022
In the absence of confirming a specific date, God of War Ragnarok is the only PlayStation game announced for the remainder of 2022. Rumors suggest that two The Last of Us projects could arrive between the end of the year and the beginning of next year, but at the moment there is nothing confirmed about it. It would be the multiplayer aspect of the second part and the remake of the first installment.
