Brief history of the group
The band is made up of Vicentico, Sr. Flavio, Sergio Rotman, Ricciardi, Mario Siperman, as well as Dany Lozano on trumpet, and Vicentico and Sr. Flavio’s sons, Florian Fernández and Astor Cianciarulo, respectively.
Its first presentation was in 1985, in the city of Mar del Plata, Argentina, barely two years after the dictatorship in the country had ended. In those days they were called Cadillacs 57 and they were just a band of friends who went out to have fun, although they stood out for Vicentico’s unmistakable voice and the energy of his music.
The consolidation of the Argentine group would come in 1997, by winning a Grammy Award in the category of Best Rock/Alternative Performance; and two Latin Grammys for Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song. They were also the first Latin American group to participate in an MTV Unplugged.
Finally, they have collaborated with great artists such as Celia Cruz, Blondie, the Talking Heads and Rubén Blades.
