The Colombian national team, directed by coach Néstor Lorenzo, confirmed that he will play two friendly matches on the FIFA date in June. The information was revealed by the Colombian Football Federation, through a statement published on social networks. The announcement detailed that the teams they will face are Germany and Iraq.
“Next June 16 and 20, the Colombian National Team will have a new double of friendly commitments against its counterparts in Iraq and Germany, as part of the FIFA date to be held this month”says the statement.
“With the two preparation matches, the “yellow” team will reach eight games in the era of coach Néstor Lorenzo, where the national team is undefeated with 4 victories, against Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay and recently Japan, and 2 draws against to the United States (the only one without goals) and South Korea ”he added.
In this way, the Colombian National Team will continue its preparation for what will be the start of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. Let’s remember that the ‘Tricolor’ did not qualify for the last World Cup and is in a restructuring process with the new coach Néstor Lorenzo.
Colombia comes from playing two friendly matches in March against Japan and South Korea in Asia, in which it took a positive balance of a win and a draw. This time they will face two other difficult teams.
