Jimmy Kimmel will return as presenter of the 95th Academy Awards 2023.
It will be the third time that the star will lead the ceremony, after having been for the last time five years ago.
Kimmel’s return was announced on Monday, November 7, by Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner, the executive producers behind the Academy Awards.
The host of the hit show “Jimmy Kimmel Live” was hosting the Oscars TV broadcasts in 2017 and 2018.
On the first of those occasions, was present when the remembered error about the winner as best film between “La La Land” and “Moonlight” occurred.

According to Varietythere are no details on who was contacted to lead the delivery of the next Oscars, but “Unconfirmed rumors circulated that the producers asked Chris Rock, the comedian who was slapped by Will Smith during the 2022 broadcast.”
“To be invited to present the Oscars again is a great honor…or a trap,” Kimmel said in a statement posted on social media.
“Likewise, I am very grateful to the Academy for consulting me so quickly after all the good ones said no,” he joked.
With three appearances, Kimmel will now share that achievement with Jerry Lewis, Steve Martin, Conrad Nagel and David Niven.
The only people who presented the Oscars more times were Whoopi Goldberg and Jack Lemmon (4 times), Johnny Carson (5), Billy Crystal (9) and Bob Hope (11).
The Academy is trying to recapture the glory days of the Oscars, when it had more than 50 million viewers.
The final candidates to receive the awards are not confirmed yet, but they may be among the nominated films such as “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” Y Top Gun: Maverick.
In addition, artists such as Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, Rihanna and Taylor Swift are expected to participate in the show.
Academy members will vote on this year’s final list of films from January 12-17, and official nominations will be announced on January 24.
The event will be televised live on ABC to more than 200 countries.
