China launched ultra-fast internet
The infrastructure, which extends more than 3 thousand kilometers of fiber optic cable between Beijing and the cities of Wuhan and Guangzhou, was activated in July and successfully passed operational tests before its official launch.
The project leader, Wu Jianping, Chinese Academy of Engineeringhighlighted in a statement that this “worldwide unprecedented project is open to society and has the capacity to support experiments with innovative network structures.”
It is worth mentioning that, despite concerns about its dependence on the United States and Japan In terms of technology, those responsible for this project ensure that both the software and hardware of this new network system are of national production.
So, China takes the technological lead to build an even faster and more efficient internet in the future.
