Last Friday night was once again very busy for the league 1as it has been throughout this week: the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) decided to suspend the match between Lima Alliance and Cesar Vallejo, alleging lack of guarantees for its transmission. After this measure, the Trujillo cast showed their disagreement with what happened through a statement.
The ‘Poets’ turned to the FPF and asked it to take the pertinent measures so that the clubs comply with more rules and the championship develops normally. Let’s remember that the ‘UCV’, unlike Alianza Lima, did accept the new business model for the transmission of League 1 matches.
“The César Vallejo University Club requests the Peruvian Football Federation to take the necessary measures in order to guarantee strict compliance with the rules and the correct development of the competition given that these situations harm both sportingly and financially the teams that we have been working within. within the framework of legality and in compliance with the statutes in force”, reads at the beginning of the message.
In the same way, the northern entity referred to those clubs that have not reached an agreement with the FPF by not accepting ‘1190 Sports’ as the accredited party for the television of the championship matches: “The César Vallejo University Club urges other professional clubs to take the necessary measures so that these situations do not continue to happen and continue to affect the prestige of League 1″.
What was the argument of the FPF?
After having communicated with Alianza Lima to coordinate the entry of the cameras and operators of ‘1190 Sports’ –a company that has the authorization to broadcast Liga 1 matches–, the FPF did not receive the expected response within the indicated period. . For this reason, considering that there were not sufficient guarantees for the transmission of the duel, they decided to reschedule it.
“The Alianza Lima Club did not provide a response to said letter within the period indicated in the document, and despite the opening granted during the day by the FPF to show an official position, it did not show willingness to grant guarantees for the correct development and transmission of the match”, says the FPF statement.
three games suspended
The meeting between Alianza Lima and César Vallejo will not be the only one that will have to be rescheduled by the FPF, but also those that were going to be played in Cusco –Binacional vs. Sporting Cristal– and Arequipa –Melgar vs. Sport Boys–. The affected clubs have shown their discomfort considering that this measure by the highest governing body of Peruvian soccer has been arbitrary and goes against their sporting interests.
