Cereals for children in trouble, these brands will be withdrawn by Profeco
Recently, the Federal Consumer Attorney’s Office (prophecy), has carried out a study in which 30 different brands of cereals and foods for babies and children were analyzed, in which some products that deceive the consumer were identified, a reason that has caused a cereal brand to be withdrawn from the store , this in collaboration with the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris).
According to the analysis of the profeco, the Cerelac brand of the Nestlé brand will be withdrawn from the market, because this product does not comply with the established standards and deceives the consumer. It is worth mentioning that Cerelac from the Nestlé brand is a wheat cereal for babies, recommended for consumption from 12 months of age, however it was detected that this product has milk and is reduced in sugar, while the standard indicates that milk should be added, just as preference has to be given to breast milk.
