CD Projekt RED has presented endless new announcements this afternoon, defining what promises to be the roadmap that the company will follow throughout the next decade. Among other things, the Polish company has explained that not all of its future is focused on The Witcher and Cyberpunk, but also are working on a new franchise aside from those two.
This new IP, under the name of Project Hadarwould still be in the early stages of its development, during the conceptualization phase, and would be developed entirely internally within the studio, similar to The Witcher trilogy and Cyberpunk 2077. Very little we have been able to know about this mysterious project, but it seems that it would have started to be “incubated” since the end of last year.
CD Projekt RED is working on a new franchise outside of The Witcher and Cyberpunk
We already know the technical requirements of Overwatch 2 on PC
Otherwise, CD Projekt RED is investing in The Witcher franchise more than ever, with no less than 5 new The Witcher games announced (a new trilogy and two standalone titles) and even Cyberpunk 2077 will continue its journey with a sequel which is already under development. Hopefully in the latter case, the next title in the franchise will take longer to arrive than the next The Witcher, as we haven’t even received the expansion yet, Phantom Liberty, which is due out next year.
