CD Projekt has just released a video in which he explains the stormy situation regarding Cyberpunk 2077. In particular, it focuses on the part relating to the old generation consoles, that is PS4 and Xbox One, where the title turned out to be below expectations.
In addition to the video, a long article translated into Italian was also published where CD Projekt answers all the most popular questions, including the state of development and plans for the future.
It is explained that the gap between the PC and console versions of Cyberpunk 2077 is due to the fact that the game was born on PC and that the optimization work required much more work than expected. CD Projekt ensures that it is focused on fixing bugs and crashes that players are experiencing on all platforms.
Smaller and smaller patches are expected on a regular basis, but the support plan has received some tweaks: free DLCs are no longer scheduled for early 2021, but we will receive more details in the coming months. Furthermore, the update for next-generation consoles will be launched only in the second half of 2021. You can read more details about it in the specific article published by CD Project.
