The prototypes of the new MINI Countryman 2023 are already rolling through the streets of Munich in tests, and we have already seen them. With much of the development advanced by the new BMW X1, the British firm has stepped on the accelerator and has also released the new generation of the MINI JCW Countryman. The top-of-the-range variant poses in its first spy photos with a sportier image.
The prototypes of the third generation of the MINI Countryman roam around the BMW headquarters in Munich, a development that has practically just started with tests in real traffic, but much more advanced than it really seems. inherits the progress already made by the also new BMW X1 that will arrive at the end of next year.
And as in the Bavarian, a top-of-the-range version signed by the «M Performance» specialists has also been seen for the first time, these new spy photos show MINI’s sportiest SUV: welcome to the new MINI JCW Countryman 2023, with specific details on the aesthetic plane that will perfectly distinguish it from the more conventional versions, as can already be seen compared to the first images of the future Countryman.

A closer look makes it clear that the front bumper already shows substantial differences, with a lower bumper and air intakes at the ends of a larger size as shown by the meshes that hide the design but allow heat evacuation. In addition, just under the license plate it also presents a thin split open strip of the grille at the bottom of the bumper.
But, without a doubt, the most prominent detail is at the rear, as the new JCW Countryman will add two more exhaust terminals to the two that the British model currently wears. Four tubes that give a more aggressive image to the rear, with each pair placed at the ends -as in the also new X1 M35i xDrive sighted a few weeks ago- and that will be complemented by some Larger diameter alloy wheels, wider tires and a suspension that will lower height from the body to the ground.
The future JCW Countryman will debut in 2023 equipped with the powerful 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo petrol engine and with a maximum power that will experience a significant increase in maximum power, going from the current 306 hp to about 330 hp. The model will feature ‘ALL4’ all-wheel drive and a tight 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
