An actress with many faces
The Australian actress will attend the next February 12 to Valencia to collect the award in person. Blanchett has a long career as an actress, producer and artistic director and has left us with numerous memorable performances such as her Galadriel in ‘The Lord of the Rings’ bob dylan on ‘I’m Not There’ or Carol Aird in ‘Carol’.
The last year has been very busy for Blanchett, who is currently working on the pre-production of ‘disclaimer’ along with Alfoso Cuarón, and has just finished filming ‘TAR’. We have recently been able to see it in ‘Don’t look up’ and also in ‘The Alley of Lost Souls’with which the actress reminds us that she is not afraid of any type of role.
Blanchett will soon star in ‘Manual for cleaning women’the new film by Pedro Almodóvar that adapts the book by Lucia Berlin.
It is not the first time that the Film Academy awards an international performer or filmmaker, but this new award is intended as a special recognition to value artists from anywhere in the world.
