It seems that Netflix has entered a new and long-awaited era where its adaptations of Japanese sagas are finally good. The most recent example is without room for discussion One Piecebut for some time before this good stage was already observed with Castlevania: Nocturne.
This anime adaptationtakes up one of the plot lines most beloved by fans, but little explored over the last decades: the arc of Richter Belmont and his adventure within the framework of the revolution in France.
Since its announcement in the year of 2022 It was revealed that the story of this anime would take elements from some cult games in the saga, Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, Castlevania: Bloodlines and Castlevania: Symphony of Night.
So expectations were skyrocketing at the same time that the fear that the series could be disastrous was absolutely tangible and sensible.
Fortunately, as happened with One Piece, in the end the adaptation work turned out to be memorable and even exemplary, adapting the plot of the games to almost brilliant levels and returning to some characters that we had already forgotten.
Such is the case of the exponent that we share with you today.
Drolta Tzuentes looks disturbing in this cosplay tribute to Netflix’s Castlevania: Nocturne
The cosplay artist known on TikTok as @Kagonineko has published a clip that has become relatively viral among the community that loves this complex art.
In the short video, lasting just 14 seconds, we see how the lady transforms to become none other than Drolta Tzuentes, one of the most disturbing characters in the Castlevania saga:
If they do not locate the lady, it is more than understandable, for a detail that is worth addressing. Drolta Tzuentes is a character from the Netflix animated series, Castlevania: Nocturne, and also from the video game Castlevania: Bloodlines.
In both she is a powerful and ancient witch. In both Drolta serves Countess Erzsebet Báthory, a vampire who wants to resurrect the dark lord and uses her black magic to control demons and hinder vampire hunters.
However, the main difference comes with the character design and the contexts of their participation. In the Netflix series, Drolta is a dark-skinned vampire who was a priestess of the Egyptian goddess Sekhmet.
While in the video game, Drolta is an old, not very human-looking witch who revives Báthory with a spell.
This cosplay tribute that we see in itself completely pays tribute to the Netflix anime and does so in spectacular fashion.
