This April 30th is celebrated on Children’s Day in Mexico. It is an annual celebration dedicated to understanding and fraternity towards all children; that is to say, it is an act that seeks to vindicate the value of childhood.
For this reason, activities that promote the rights and well-being of children are often carried out. Among these are gifts, visits to parks, squares, cinemas, cultural centers and, of course, restaurants, who usually add promotions for the enjoyment of children.

On this occasion, the American chain Carl’s Jr brings an offer that will excite children and not so children. On April 30, it will be giving away hamburgers and nuggets to its consumers. We tell you how to participate.
When purchasing any combo, you can receive a cheeseburger or six-star chicken completely free (option to choose). The promotion is available throughout the Republic with the exception of the entities of Aguascalientes, Zacatecas and Colima, as well as airports.
The last step is to mention the offer at the checkout for it to be applied, otherwise you will have to pay for it. It should be noted that this promotion cannot be ‘bundled’ or combined with other promotions available from Carl’s Jr.
Why is Children’s Day celebrated?
The origin of Children’s Day It dates from the time of the First World War. At that time, there were those who realized the grave danger to children not only during armed conflict but in general.
In this way, in order to protect the children who were victims of that world conflict, the activist Eglantyne Jebb founded the organization Save the Children and promoted the Declaration of the Rights of Children.
Subsequently, the Children’s Day in Mexico It began to be held in 1924. At that time, President Álvaro Obregón and the Minister of Education José Vasconcelos accepted and ratified the Geneva Declaration on the Rights of the Child.
The declaration was established by the League of Nations and established that children had the right to develop materially, morally and spiritually.
According to the United Nations (UN), the official and international date to celebrate Children’s Day is November 20. However, that same day the commemoration of the outbreak of the Mexican Revolution is celebrated in our country.
As a consequence, it was quite normal for the celebration to change the date. Thus, Álvaro Obregón declared that Children’s Day would be celebrated every April 30.
