Carlos Villagrán was captured in Honduras as part of the show offered by the Hermanos Gasca circus.
It is estimated that within the Mexican national territory, there are just over 60 thousand actors working actively.
The lack of economic foresight for the future is one of the main reasons why some actors continue to play their most emblematic characters.
There are characters that have marked generations, acting roles that are so emblematic and remembered by the public that, sometimes, the actors find it difficult to get rid of that image; this can significantly affect their career, since when playing other characters, both in series and movies, they fail to fully convince the public, in addition to the fans It is important that the actors can overcome a character so that it is not overexploited and can be preserved in a good way within the collective imagination, a controversy that has been reactivated with the recent appearance of Carlos Villagrán, with his “kiko” suit, in Honduras.
According to what is indicated by the National Association of Actors (GO), there are just over 60,000 active actors, of which only 11 percent belong to the association, while the remaining 89 decide not to join because they currently do not have a stable job or well-paid salaries, so much so that they become estimates that an average actor in Mexico can earn just over 96 thousand pesos a year and up to 120 thousand pesos.
Whether due to lack of economic foresight in old age or acting nostalgia, there are some actors who refuse to let their most emblematic roles die, appealing to memory and seeking to profit from the nostalgia of fans, an aspect that not only affects the actors and characters, but also television series and fictional characters.
Carlos Villagrán reactivates controversy with “Kiko”

As a result of the viralization A wide conversation was generated, in which the fans showed their disgust and discouragement at seeing such an endearing character, age in that way.
“I prefer to keep the memory of TV”, Yayo
“I think you have to know how to say up to here, because if you don’t look like this man, there is an example of Chabelo”, Eduardo Ramirez
“Roberto Gómez himself said one day, I’m too old to play an 8-year-old boy and he retired on time, that is, not wanting to age gracefully,” Edgar Davila
However, this isn’t the only time the community has spread a distaste for the refusal to let a character die, since several criticisms were recently generated about the actress Silvia Pinalwhen she reappeared in a play in which she was seen physically immobilized, a reason that generated various negative reactions towards the play and the actress, accusing those who profit from their fame to generate income.
Despite Ms. SILVIA PINAL’S PITIFUL and PAINFUL state of health, where she can no longer hold her head by herself and no longer strings together ideas coherently, her family insists that she wants to do the play where she will give life to Little Red Riding Hood’s grandmother. In the same way, there are television series and anime that have been a cultural reference for various generations; however, for many and some they should rest in peace, such is the case of the emblematic Dragon Ball, an anime with almost 50 years of history.

For the fans as for the actors, the nostalgia of certain characters represents more than an era. For many others, it is necessary to close and continue, because if it is pigeonholed into a single role, you can lose the reason why a day was special.
