How much does Carlos Slim earn per minute?
Based on the methodology applied to calculate how much Bill Gates earns in a minute, we did math to estimate how much money the 82-year-old tycoon adds to his wealth in the same 60 seconds.
Thus, we start from the difference between the fortune that Carlos Slim had in 2022 in contrast to 2023, the period in which his assets grew by 11.8 billion dollars. This means that the businessman earned 916 million every month for the last year.
If we divide that amount by the 30 days that a month has on average, it gives us a total of 30,500 million dollars a day. This translates to $1.2 billion per hour, or $20,000 per minute or about $333 per second.
If we convert these figures to Mexican pesos, according to the current exchange rate (18.31 MXN per dollar), Carlos Slim earns about 366,000 Mexican pesos per minute.
Although these are impressive figures, taking into account that the minimum wage in Mexico is 207 pesosare much lower than those of the previous year.
From 2021 to 2022, the richest man in Mexico and Latin America earned a total of 18.4 billion dollars. That is, 1,533 million dollars per month, 51 million dollars per day, 2,100 million dollars per hour, 35,500 dollars per minute and 715 dollars per second.
