In April of last year, EthicHub announced the launch of the campaign #1kilo1ethix with the commitment of allocate an ethix token for each kilo of coffee sold from their coffee-growing communities in Mexico. Now, just over a year after the launch of the campaign, those responsible for its creation point out that the action was a success and that the campaign has ended.
The success of the campaign, initially planned for three months, led to its extension, extending for more than a year. And now, with the campaign over, according to EthicHub co-founder Gabriela Chang “We can say very proud that our small coffee growers are also ethixholders and we have more than fulfilled the objectives that we set for ourselves back then.”.
The characteristics associated with Blockchain technology allow any interested party to verify for themselves the successful completion of the campaign and the time-spaced shipments of the ethix committed to the campaign. At the end of last year, farmers received a total of 59,651 ethix.

To that first shipment, we now add the ethix corresponding to the coffee sales of the last six months. 30,558 kilos of coffee sold have been transformed into 30,558 ethix and that is the exact amount recently transferred.

“EthicHub wants to thank all the people and entities that have contributed to the success of the campaign with their purchases, such as the associated roasters who buy the green coffee to roast and market it later. To coffee buyers in international markets such as Canada, China, the United Kingdom, Spain and the United States, and in particular to the entire community of ethichubbers who regularly buy our farmers’ coffee in our online store”, explained the organizers
